My third CDS was starting from this week. This is the first day of my CDS lesson which is Using internet as a reseach tool(UIR). I am sure people are always using the internet as a tool to get the informations they want. After the first class I got to know what are the different ways to get the useful resources we need;like the online forum and wiki. It enable us to discuss certain topic and share our views with people all around the world.I had also learnt on how to search for the three types of internet resources and we need to describe it and also analysizing it as well. I have learned quite a lot of stuffs.
Based on the protfolio brief,each of us has to choose a research topic from the list provided and my topic is "Disscuss the impact of online gaming on youth" The reason of choosing this topic is because I will start my GET diploma soon in April, so I take this as a chance to have a better understanding about the game industry.

Through this lecture I understanded the different categories of information resources which the WWW sites can be categries into 3 types: organisational, personal or subject-based.

Overall this whole day, it can be enjoyable sometime as we are allowed to use msn chatting online with friends, and it's also a very tough day as we have done lots of works during a pretty long time period. Since the information technology is constantly growing, the internet is used very often by people. As a IT student we really need to have a good understanding in it,and also use it as a research tool in a right way.
